I recently reinstalled Windows XP on a computer for a friend. I manually downloaded USB drivers and Video drivers. However, when I went to look for the Sound Card, I could find nothing. When I run a scan with Belarc and Everest, they can't find anything. I took the panel off of the computer and looked inside, but couldn't find one installed by itself. If one is built in, is there a chance that Belarc and Everest are not finding it? What driver would I download then to correct my missing Multimedia Audio Controller driver in my Device Manager? Basically, I want to correct the yellow exclamation point beside that driver in Device Manager, and fix the sound if there is indeed a sound card.

Thank you so much in advance!

    Edit: Got it!

I just found my motherboard specs using Everest, then did a Google search on the drivers for that particular Intel. Found the audio driver, installed, rebooted, and then Windows automatically recognized my connected speakers.

    Thanks!
