Can't see MKV files on my HDTV

    Hi there,

    Hoping someone can help please... I have my well spec'd PC hooked up to both a Panasonic Viera 37 inch LCD screen and a standard 17inch LCD via my Nvidia GeForce 7600 video GPU.

    I use the Nvidia control panel to clone the screens. I can see .avi and DivX etc files fine on both screens, but cannot see mkv files on the Panasonic Viera, only on the smaller LCD.

    Can anyone suggest why this might be?

    could it have something to do with the software that you are using to play the video in mkv container?

    yes i think it is the software player too,i use zoom player free edition.it plays all mkv files in fact it plays everthing.
