my tech friend recently reloaded an xp pro os onto an olser hp pavillion. now the VOLUME control is no longer in the TASK BAR/SYSTEM TRAY. I placed the volume icon onto the desktop but that is really not what I want. How do I retutn the volume to the task bar? I looked at the TRAY screen in the CONTROL panel and chose ALWAYS SHOW. I did not see a choice in that sreen using the words "PLACE VOLUME IN TRAY". Solutions please.
Right click the taskbar, click properties, click notification area, and you should be able to choose volume icon in there.
