I'm not sure if its the right tread to post but please moved on the right spot. anyway I 've been downloading games over the net (not torrent) and somehow I endup seeing the sites has been hacked or shut down, they say google maked it as harmful so everytime i go to the sites its down. if im using firefox just go to option and unclick the (tell me if im visiting the attacked site) my question is is the sites really get hacked?
Well it entirely depends. More often then not, if Google or Firefox marks a site as harmful, it will be. The site may not have been "hacked" but it may still be dangerous and do a drive-by download on your system i.e. installing malicious files without you knowing. You really should use your discretion before downloading from these sites.
