Newzbin pro

Hi , i have just reformatted my pc and re-installed newsbin pro , when i download anything it leaves me with all the rar files which i then have to extract the iso / image or whatever from....but before it used to download all the rar's then when it had finished just leave me with the bit i needed such as an iso or .dvd file.....is there an option that i have missed that will sort this out for me?...thanks in advance

 

grabit will automatically scan, repair, and unrar all files. Sorry, i haven't used newzbin though

 

I have used newsbin pro and atleast had to re install it 4 times within the last year (bad hard drive or other nefaries issues)
Make sure you have winrar and quick par installed, and youll be fine

i'm not sure how or why it happens but i use newzleecher and it works great... 95% of the time i get an iso and then the other times i'll get all the rar files and have to use winrar on them manually and then the iso comes out just fine.

are there differen't kinds of rar files? when the 5% of the time happens, i'll get a list of rars and half of them have a certain icon while the other half has another icon.

 

I find Grabit to be a resource hog for such a small program. I now use SABnzbd and can't say anything bad about it. It even saves your downloads by category (TV, Movies, Books ect.) It was a pain to set up but worth the work. If you add stuff you your Newzbin bookmarks (from work or any computer) SABnzbd will search your bookmarks and have them downloaded when you get home.

 

well i think i have just sorted it, i have installed the latest version and upto now as long as all the files are correct then it auto extracts at the end to leave me with the bit i need.....thanks for all the help

 

I use newzbins and love it, however i am curious as to how you do the auto un-rar. I'm assuming maybe its the autorar, but do you check the override tab, and what does it do if it doesn't un-par successfully? does it just leave it?

What software are you using? Grabit, SABnzbd?

 

newzbin pro. Guess I should have stated that, but thats why i was directing the question at the op.

 

newsbin pro will auto extract winrar files as long as you also have quick par or smart par installed, it runs the process of checking the files are all ok and corrects any errors in the rar files then unpacks the rar files as long as u have win rar 3.7 installed, grabit is better and free where as newsbin pro is not, the only gain from newsbin pro is better newsgroup handling facilities, for viewing listing rather than just d/l an nzb
