Hi guy's, I ordered myself a Starview 4 tonight and am just reading some posts that the auto sort isn't working right, would this be correct ?

I see there is a channel editor in eamos library for the starview 4, is the process basically the same as the channel editing for The box ? as in upload your channel dump to your pc from your box and then edit it with the channel editor and download it back to the box ?

I'm looking forward to gettin this box in the next couple of days so just want to familiarize myself with it's processes before I get it so I can get it up and running asap.

    Thanks

The sort and move are greyed out in the channel edit so you cant access them, reading around this seems to be a f/w issue that will be sorted in future releases. I just use the OK button and this gives you a menu structure, sports movies kids etc, this works fine for me.

The channel bin file is done with a usb stick so it very easy, save a copy to your usb and then stick in pc for editing, but the channel editor software is beta and when I try to put channels into fav it marks the field but when you upload its not there, so you end up doing this manually from the sv4.

Overall a good box and very easy to update

the auto sort(channels put in channel number order from a scan)work for me fine, they are in the same channel number order as the providers stb boxes.true you cannot move the channels from the order the scan puts them in,but then again you can select the skip option for cannels you dont want,to skip past them when you are channel hopping, also you could use the favourites option to put your channels in different favourite sections.

Yeah doesn't seem to be a big deal. I was under the impression that the channel order was all messed up, I took it up wrong.

Hopefully have my box tomorrow :D

The faves bug in the SV4CE is known and will be fixed in the next release.
