I have tried unsuccessfully to play .TS files using WMP and VLC, but no picture or sound. I tried GOM which is usually very good and got sound but no picture.
I have followed the AfterDawn guide 'How to play TS files' by altering the 'High Quality Audio Resampling' settings in VLC but still no joy.

I heard you can play .ts files with windows media player with elecard codec — > http://www.elecard.com/ftp/pub/mpeg/decoder/EMpgDec20.zip

Has anyone used this codec before, I am a bit nervous to try it in case I cause any problems with my PC.

Thanks in advance for any feedback.

Media player classic Home cinema will play TS files as will Power DVD8.
CCCP codec pack is also installed on my system

First off fracmo200 remove your addy from the post. NOT a smart thing to do in open forum. ;)

I agree MPC should play your files w/o issue. If you have Nero installed you your computer it should be able to play your files as well.

    good luck
