do i need a blu ray rom to rip movies to computers hdd, or are there any blu ray players that rip

this might be stupid question but to rip a blu ray movie you need a supporting blu ray drive. however i dont want to blow £200 on a blu ray player and £90 on a blu ray rom drive just to rip the movies to my pc. My question is are there any blu ray player that connect to the pc and allow you to rip throught the player,or am i splashing out on a player and a rom drive, reason i want to rip films is to put on media player

yes you need a BD ROM to rip to your HDD, and you also need AnydvdHD.

if you've got a media PC its connected to your TV so get a blue ray ROM for your computer and rip them to your hard rive or just watch them Ive got the Lg blue ray drive plays hddvd as well cost about £65 from ebuyer.com so you wont need both if you've got any intention in the future to burn blue ray movies to disk get the Lg blue ray burner cost £165 ebuyer.com
