    Hi,
Anyones help would be greatly appreciated. Ive just taken out my old xbox chip to replace it with a xecutor 2.3 pro but when i took it out (Unsoldered) and turned it on (without a chip) the front LED flashes red and green and a warning screen comes up on the tv syaing to concact microsoft for a service or something, and nothing else happens. Shouldent the xbox work without a chip?? and if i get the excutor 2.3 pro and solder it in would it work??.
    Any help would be great.

    Regards

Have u tried to add back the old chip?IF so what happens. Yes it should work unless for some reason u flashed ur own board BIOS.

Well in fact it can be many things, that could be wrong.Did u for some reason remove the Original xboxdash.xbe, modified any origianl files in order to make the Old M$ dash have extra menus, new background, ext..

What is the error # that u get.

IF the old chip works then there is not reason why the new one won't work.Just think for a while what kinds of modifications u did.

IF in fact u did remove those files it will just give u an error if ur chip is OFF.In order to fix it u will need to add back the origianl files to the Root Dir

Well it sound like You got a old BIOS in that chip..IF that chip is flashable then just flash the newest version of Evox or Xecuter bios. That new chip should work.
