Ive been having trouble copying data files (adobe documents) to be exact on to dvd+R, but it lets me burn them onto a CdR if i copy them in that format. Also have no trouble copying AVI files to dvd using convertX so i know its not my burner or the DVd disks im using. probaly be something simple and trival, but any help would be grately appreciated. Try Imgburn;see if it recognizes the disk. Run Imgburn > 'Write files/folders to disc' Drag a file onto the window. Click the 'Device' tab - it should show the disk type (DVD+R), if it's empty and the supported write speeds for the disk. Select a moderate speed and burn.
