Format HD Problem

I am re-formating a computer I have a 10gb hd
40gb hd

I have tried each of them by them selves and when I fromate them the 10gb formats to %85 then gets stuck. The 40gb formats to %10 then gets stuck. But if I format and click option (Quick) NSFS it goes through.

sounds like your drives have bad. I wouldnt use them, but you can probaly fix them with hdd regenerator http://www.softspecialist.com/HDD-Regenerator-1610/HDD-Regenerator.htm and if that dosent work just get a new drive
