I upgraded an installation of WinXP Home to WinXP Pro. I've assigned a password to the renamed "Owner" account, but am not prompted for the password when selecting the logon button with the account name. Accounts that I manually created after the upgrade do require a logon password. How can I require a logon password for the renamed "Owner" account?

When I click on the user icon (for the account which was formerly the Admin/Owner account under WinXP Home), I'm logged into XP w/o first being prompted for a password. The account I created for my wife after upgrading to XP Pro does prompt for a logon password.

So have you tried to log onto the owner account and setting another password?

    Ok, I solved this issue.

I *thought* I remembered adding a password to the Admin account, but when I decided to change the password to attempt to resolve this issue, a familiar looking warning message stated that changing the password from the Computer Management/Local Users applet might cause irreversible loss of data and that Control Panel/User Accounts should be used instead. This message jogged my memory that when I saw this message last time, I wisely backed out without changing the password, but last time I did not read far enough to figure out the correct way to change the password. Today I did change the Admin account password via Control Panel/User Accounts, and now when I logon I am prompted for a password like I wanted.

Thanks to those who responded and attempted to assist. Another case of user error, or at least poor user memory.
