Hi there. I'm hoping to look for help in downloading and installing an Adobe Flash Player in my new T-Mobile G1 Phone. When I went to the Adobe web site it showed me the flash player shown on the subject line. I was then asked to select a version of the flash player to download from the following list:

    1. .tar.gz for Linux
    2. .rpm for Linux
    3. YUM for Linux
    4. .deb for Ubuntu 8.04+

I don't understand what these versions are and I'm afraid that if I pick the wrong one to download something bad might happen to my G1 Phone. Please help me out because I wanted to view some videos from any web site such as CNN, ABC News, New York Times, etc. in my phone. Thank you.

Unless you've swapped the OS on your G1 the OS will be Android and from what I understand Adobe hasn't produced a working Flash player for Android yet. There appears to be one slated for the end of 2009 though.
