Hello, my school has a HP Pavilion a1587c computer and it came with XP, with no XP disk, the recovery partition doesnt seem to exist or dead, and we never made a recovery disk. This computer need to be reformated and i couldn't find sata drivers for this, i got some sata driver pack and integerated it with nLite and it didn't work, so im not sure what type of sata driver this PC need, and i don't see it on HP Support section of the website, im wondering if someone has the drivers or know where to get these drivers? I also google HP Pavilion a1587c sata drivers, and came up with nothing. Thanks
If you really want to do this correctly, you need to contact HP and get the recovery disk for that model. http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/...n&dlc=en&cc=in&lang=en&os=228&product=3220010 If you are trying to reload Windows XP from an authorized source (one that matches your COA) you shouldn't need a driver disk.
Yea, the teacher actually bought a new genuine version of XP, cause he wanted to get it working quickly, so he didn't just contact HP for recovery disk n use the serial on the PC. So, I guess well, idk, its school and we want it to be done with a genuine key. Thanks for replying...guess we have to contact hp Edit: checked HP support once more and saw the mobo version, so i googled that with sata driver and found this thread... http://forums.driverguide.com/showthread.php?t=25681&page=3 just alot of reading to do, people done it already so its cool.
