Dear fellow afterdawners, I hope you guys can shed some light in a problem I am having.

For some weird reason my Bios is running severely slow. And when I enter Bios setup it is hilariously slow. Like it takes a few seconds to move from one tab to the other. I know initially you would think that it is a normal problem, maybe something to do with overheating or memory problems, but the really strange part of it all is that whenever windows takes over the boot it is as fast as it can be. My windows runs flawlessly, so I am really confused at whats wrong.

    My hardware config is

Q9550 @ 2.83Ghz which is stock clock settings
Asus Rampage formula board also in stock settings
    Corsair DDR2 Dominators 2 X 1GB dual channelled.

    I am using a HD4870 video card
    and an EMU souncard.

I have not yet attempted any sort of tweaks on my hardware as of yet. And dont plan to untill I know whats wrong with the BIOS.
If there is anybody that can help please lend me your wisdom. Thank you.

    Raf

Probably a bug with the BIOS, if you can't live with it, update it, but for the love of god, do some reading on which BIOS versions work properly before you upgrade. Asus are known to release BIOSes that can brick boards.
