adding 2nd hard drive

    I have now a 300GB SATA HD(10KRPM),Western Digital,VR150 hard drive I want to put a 2nd one is a 160GB Western Digital SATA HD(RMS 7200.What all do I have to do to get it to work?Do I have to go into the BIOS?It is running Vista..

    1. Power off
    2. Install drive
    3. Connect power cable to drive
    4. Connect SATA cable to drive
    5. Connect other end of SATA cable to the next available SATA connector on the mobo
    6. Power on.
    7. Partition and format as necessary

    If it doesn't show up go to your control panel -> administrative tools -> Computer Management -> Storage -> Disk management.

    It will show you a list of all the drives it detects and the partitions, even ones that aren't formatted.
