Uploading Minidv to PC?

Ive been using easycap pc to upload my mini dv tapes to my computer. I'm putting them in WMV files best quality 640x480....The videos look ok at best but a lil pixely. Any thing I can do to make them look like they do on tape? Putting all my home movies on to save

Use Windv (not Windvd) and save as .AVI.
