I am backing up some movies that are about 8GB (Full Disk). I want the full disk not just the main movie. Should I burn them to a dual layer?

I have never done this and don't know how well they work. Compatibility and all.

    Any advice?

    Hi,

your requirements sound lke they require dl's

    1) Yes you should back up to dl
    2) they are quite compatible as long as you booktype them to dvd-rom
    3) the preferred media type is +R (dl-R does not booktype)
    4) the preferred brand is Verbatim, Made in Singapore
    5) You need to burn the files with Imgburn (free) and pay attention to the layer break position
    6) you need to pick SPLIP as No in the layer break break transition point
