dell latitude problems,key board and systemrtay

    i have a dell c610 with windows xp and the problem is that the b n and space keys dont work rite,all other keys type ok b,n,space dont if i hold them down for awhile they work sometimes intermitantly,also the batt and speaker icons wont appear in the system tray even though they are checked ,it used to ,could it be a lack of mem,only have 512 and it say over half is used, also a 20gig hd ,any help will be great!

    This is most likely not a software problem and belongs in another forum.

    Windows general is probably the best place it - the hardware forum is more for graphic cards, psu's, memory etc.

    He has a Dell C610 and having used one for years it's probably a bad keyboard or at best disconnecting/reconnecting the keyboard cable may resolve this temporarily but it's a PIA to do.

    I had to do it every week for 8 months before my boss upgraded my laptop.
