0-sheep burner PS2 backups?

#1 04 Mar 2004 @ 7:27
Hey all! Recently purchased a new computer bundled with a DVD+RW drive, and decided to set about backing up my PS2 games. Haven't actually bought the DVDRs yet, because I wanted to test out my drive and see if it was up to the task first. I ran the test described at http://www.petemoore.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/guides/pc-cdrom/sheeptest.htm, and from the looks of it my drive (NEC ND-2100AD) is a 0-sheep burner >:( So basically, my question is - what are the chances of my being able to successfully image / burn my PS2 games in conjunction with a swap disc and slide card? Does the swap disc get around such issues altogether, or am I likely to end up staring angrily at a blank screen? And in the worst-case scenario, what drive would you recommend I buy (since I'm already considering getting a replacement DVD+-RW drive that I know to be rated 2-sheep)?

Thanks,
Fyarldean.
