    Hello,

When I play a video file that is on my hard drive the video is very choppy. Its happening in both file formats that I have tried, blu-ray iso file running through demon tools virtual disk on power dvd and an avi file through divx. What do I have to change in my computer so it plays back smooth.

    I have an:
    Dell XPS
    Intel core 2 6700 @ 2.66
    Nvidia 7900 GS
    4 GB Ram

Choppy with 1080 video? Usually means the cpu is dragging.
Open up the task manager and play the file.
Does the CPU utilization approach 100% ?
