ipod wont start

    i plug my ipod into computer and everything works ok also if i plug into charger all is working but if i disconnect it and switch on i get no reaction at all... when pluged in it shows battery charging but it appears dead

    well you right your ipod battery is dead, You didn't describe what ipod you have, but you can find ipod batteries all over the web, if you are comfortable with opening your ipod. is easy, or you can take it to apple and for 60or 80 USD you can have them change the battery for you.     tks i had a look inside and its an easy solder job.dont know the make but have all the details of battery and a chinese phone number on it so i might ring them tks

    What model iPod? I recently replaced the battery in my Mini, and it was a 3 or 4 pin cable, not soldered.

    i just been informed ipod is apple mine is an mp4 tks all the same

    The generic MP4 players that float around are usually Chinese bootlegs of iPod models. There could be all kinds of things wrong with it, if that's the case. Sorry I can't help you further.
