I got myself the HP m9340f Desktop and it came with the Nvidia 9500GS card. I'm getting tired of my 15" monitor though, and wanna hook it up to my TV. However, my TV doesn't have a built in VGA port, so I'm gonna end up going with a VGA to Composite converter. I'd like to know if my card has the TV-Out ability through the ports on the back.
1. Seriously dude, don't you have a user's manual????? Access to the HP website????? Here's the video specs for your system. Video Graphics GeForce 9500 GS 512 MB GDDR2 memory I/O Ports: HDMI, VGA, dual-link DVI 2. Which would you rather have, good resolution on a small monitor or crappy resolution on a large(er) TV. If you're going VGA to composite you will be limited to 320 x 240 (maybe 640 x 480) which I don't even know if your card can go that low. Plus, you'll need to shell out money for a VGA to composite adapter which is pretty much a waste of money. The simple answer is "Keep using your monitor until you get a better TV".
I checked the HP website and it said nothing about the video card I had. And the user's manual that came with my computer had nothing on the video card as well. But thank you.
I got my information from the HP website. Here: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c01465973&cc=us&lc=en&d...

<a href= HP Pavilion Elite m9340f Desktop PC - Product Specifications
