blue screen at login

    My desktop has a trojan i have tried the antivirCD but no good i cant login to windows normal, or in safemode.I cant get the damn thing to read the cd.Any one have any ideas please as i dont want to loose the info on my C drive if possible.The last thing to happen before the first blue screen was virginmedia pcguard had detected a trojan then blue screen. now i cant even login.

    You could try removing your hard-drive and slaving it to another PC and running a virus-scan from there. Alternatively, and a step you should probably try first, is burning a copy of Linux to a disc, and booting the computer using that. Then run an anti-virus from the disc on your hard drive. Have you tried booting in safe mode? That might be the easiest thing to try. (Sorry about the backwards nature of the post, it's late!)
