Hi there guys i have a blue box not a clone had it for 2 years now with no problems its been updated loads of times tonight i had to test a box so i unplugged my box when i plugged it back in it is stuck on standby (red led is on) i have read loads of posts but no one seems to have an answer for this in reading i see that it is sometimes the c 14 cap mine looks fine after closer inspetion i can say there is power on the board (yeah you got it i electrocuted myself lol) i tryed a refash to no avail so i tryed flashing with the box off then turning on it flashed and siad it worked the box rebooted and came on as i had it at my desk i unplugged it to move it back to the tv when i plugged it back in it was back to stuck on standby i thought i would just flash it in place and leave it on but it will not let me flash it at all now should i buy a jtag kit ?

Try the reset button on the board, press and hold for a few seconds and then try turning it on again.

Check the c14 cap on the PSU before spending any money, if it looks swollen or leaking replace it.

Well as per normal you were right Hitech my mate looked at the C14 cap and he said it looked fine but he swopped it anyway and the box lit up properly so he gave me it back i reflashed it (just to be safe after flashing twice when it was not working properly) and hey presto its working great
