OK...I installed the Xecutor 2.3b Pro in my Xbox and when I power it up, the cromwell screen comes on asking for the disc, but when I insert the disc it gives me the message "No Bios Update Found...Halting." It reads the CD label correctly everytime, but that's it!

I did the following to make my flash CDs:

    - Used X2BM to make 1Meg file (filled all 4 banks with the evox M7 bios), named the file "bios.bin"
    - Used dummyfile generator to make 100 meg dummyfile
    - Used XISO to convert bios.bin and dummyfile.bin to an ISO file (I've also tried leaving bios.bin in the root directory alone and made a folder called "new" to store about 100 meg of zipped files...neither way works)
    - Burned the ISO file (ISO9660, Mode 1 format)to both Maxell and HP brand CD-Rs and CD-RWs. (I have the Samsung DVD drive, and it has played numerous music CDs created from those same CD-Rs).
    - I checked the CD-Rs on my computer to make sure they were truly created and burned in the ISO format (they were)

To this point I've only had a bios.bin and a dummy file (or folder) included in my ISO burn. Should I include some other type files as well? Some other post said to also include an evox.ini file in you flashbios ISO burn (didn't make sense to me??)

I can always break down and flash my chip with the LPT port (if I go buy the right cable!), but i will eventually need to burn a CD for my dashboard anyway, so I need this problem fixed.

    Any and all help appreciated!

    Thanks,
    DJ

dont turn your bios into an iso for the flash you only turn dashboards and games into iso's

burn using NERO ROM using these settings
    chose cd rom (iso)
-under multisession tab choose NO multisession
    -file name length:iso level 1
    -format:mode 1
    -character set:ISO 9660
    -joiliet:UNTICKED
-click on burn tab choose finalisedisk and 2x &disk at once
-click new add the bios u created ad thedummy file
    -then burn to good media

    hope that solves ya prob

I guess I'll need to buy Nero 6.3. I downloaded it several months ago back in my "backup DVD movies" phase. I learned to back up movies using a combo of anydvd and clonedvd instead and I removed Nero 6 from my computer. Now when I try to go back and install the demo again, it says "version expired" and no dice!

Does anyone know if Nero version 5.XX will work the same as ver. 6.X? I could probably download a demo of the older version still.

I'm still a bit skeptical that Nero is the only option for burning the BIOSFLASH ISOs, but I've tried using XISO with both HP burning software and EasyCD creator 5.0, and had no luck with either.

    Thanks
    DJ
