Hi I was just wondering what everyone thought is the best Sat Nav software for this phone......especially UK users. I've tried Amaze which works really well except you can't search by house name or postcode and that makes it almost useless to navigating in the UK. I've also tried to use Nav4all but could not get it to work with the internal GPS and i've also tried unsuccessfully to get google maps to work.............it just keeps trying to update "my location" but never actually does it. Has anyone found what they consider an excellent Sat Nav for the Renoir? It wouldn't have to be free either if there are some out there that you pay for......
hi there jonbest. normally i dont pot on these forums but i saw your plight and felt obliged to help as i was in the same situation myself! i had the same problem with mobile google maps - apparently its a conflict with the hardware and software. ANYWAY, what you want is MGMAPS. I downloaded it for free and it works in the exact same way google maps is supposed to. The gps locks on in about 10-20 secs. The only thing i am not too sure about is that it may incur you data charges - i took out a free data bolt on with O2 so it isnt a problem for me. Hope this helps pal!
