Can't get to Windows because my keyboard isn't detcted

Hi, I would appreciate it if someone could help me with this.

I need some serious help, I overclocked my cpu too high, then my PC wouldn't start, and bios got reset. The problem is now that when I try to start my PC, the keyboard doesn't work. Apparently it can't detect it, and there's a screen where I need to press F1 to continue. I can't get to windows because of that, and I can't get to the bios either. Pretty messed up!
What am I supposed to do? It also says that my cpu is unworkable or has changed, and that I need to check my cpu settings in bios.

Can the cpu get damaged because of too high FSB, before windows even starts?
I changed it from 3.5Ghz -> 3.8Ghz. Core voltage almost 1.5v, and Northbridge voltage 1.37v. Is that too much?

 

Voltages are high, but not unsafe.
To enable your keyboard at that point go into the BIOS and enable 'Legacy USB support' for both keyboard and mouse.

 

Lol.. as I said, I can't get to the bios either, because my keyboard doesn't work at the screen where I have to press del to get there. It's ridiculous!

 

Does the keyboard work in a different system? You may well have damaged the board if this is the case. Unfortunately, you won't find a warranty if that has happened, as Abit have gone bust.

 

I doubt that there's anything wrong with the keyoard, and I'm glad it's only my mobo that is broken now if it is, an not the cpu. That would cost 2x more to replace.

 

Unlikely. The E6750's effective successor costs no more than a half-decent motherboard.

 

Is there any way to check if it's the motherboard that is broken, other than to test it in aother computer?

 

Well if it isn't the keyboard, it's probably the motherboard, that's all I can really say.

Mobo might be damaged but do you have a USB or PS2 keybaord?

Mobos are not 100% compatible with USB keyboards, I have found alot of them hate to get into safe mode but work in safe mode and in the bios but not in the menu to chose to load safe mode. And at least one that worked in everything but the bios no matter what I set the bios to.

I keep a couple PS/2 keyboards around for general trouble shooting.

 

Yes, I posted it on 3 different forums to get a fast answer. I got it to work again. Nothing wrong with the mobo, I just reset cmos from the jumper.
