Never knew this Rockbox thing existed till today, and I'm all over these forums usually. Here is my question. I read somewhere that you can boot either the iPod or Rockbox firmware. My main reason for wanting to try Rockbox is to playback MPEG videos on my iPod, because I have tons of them, but sick of transcoding to MP4.

If I decide to load Rockbox, could I still sync my music (ie. files, playlists currently in use) by booting the iPod fw and using iTunes? I wouldn't think that it would wipe out my Rockbox folder or Videos, considering I can use the iPod as a mass storage device otherwise. TIA!

BTW, using a 5th Gen 30gb iPod Video.
