Alright, I know this has been asked before. Ive been on every site i can think of to get answers but i could never understand any of them. The answers all assumed that I knew the basics of setting up a network. I sure showed them!
I never thought i was a noob until now... :'(
I have a windows XP SP2 laptop and a windows vista desktop, both hardwired (ethernet cable) to a D-link router - both connected to the internet:D . I urgently need to transfer HUGE files from my laptop to desktop. I've tried everything, setting up a new network, changing the names of the networks on both pcs ... i just can't seem to find the other computer on the network. ALSO im not entirely sure how to access files on the other computer :S

So if someone could help me out with a how to guide from the begininning, I would really appreciate that!

Thanks for loking guys and have a great valentines weekend;)
