I was about to log off from my computer *using XP SP3 and I got a message related to RegEdit. The message said something about changing settings. I then applied the settings by pressing 'ok'. I regret it now and cannot log on. Every time I try to log on I am signed out straight away. What I have tried? *I have tried to log on with a different acount but I still cannot log on succesfully. *I have also tried safe mode... no difference. Please help! Any help would be apreciated. I was thinking of downloading XP startup and burning onto CD. However have no idea on where to find this. Also thinking if there are any easier ways of trying to sort myself out with this issue. I have very important files on my PC and do not want to delete anything on there. =S
Thanks for the help but.. How am I going to activate system restore. =S ? I can't even log on in safe mode with command prompt without being logged out instantly. Any other suggestions? Thanks.
Use the following bootcd to reset all your logon passwords. This way it will take you straight to the desktop. http://home.eunet.no/~pnordahl/ntpasswd/
I have checked my external hardrive and found some of the important files I really needed. I have reinstalled XP and computer working fine... Just gotta install all my software. THANKS FOR ALL THOSE HELPED =)
