hello everyone I have a question, I just ordered the samsung HL61A750 yesterday I should have it next week, this is my very 1st HD tv and im super excited. I have 1 question though and its I have a sony dvd player and its progressive scan would the picture look better doing progressive scan with the dvd player or should I have my tv do the upconerting?? The tv i think upconverts everything to 1080p if not 1080i. I will be getting a blu ray player sometime in the next few months so I just want the best possible picture for dvd's for the time being thanx in advance
I have the 67A750. From everything I have heard is to let the dvd player upconvert provided it can. I'm running through a Toshiba XDE 500 which upconvets nicely and I am very happy, progressive. As far as the tv, best bang for your buck! Enjoy, you will.
