Bypass "IR remote needed" MCE?

    Need help with MCE,
    I want to setup a Playstation 3 to my Media Center Edition PC.

    I have opened MC and done the SCAN FOR TV SIGNAL and said "YES" to the set top box and I see my PS3 in the little box on the right. Then when I hit next it says "IR Hardware not detected" I lost my reciever and dont want to have to buy another, is there anyway I can bypass this message or get it to work another way??
