Hello everyone im a n00b in the dvd backup scene. I read the great tutorials on this site so now I have a better understandin on backing up my dvds.
I am currently using the WinAVI tutorial to convert my AVI (divx) files to dvd folders. Also the IMG burn tutorial to burn to DVD+R.

I have encountered one problem my dvds play on the DVD player inside my computer but..when inserted into my SONY DVD player it mention REGION INCOMPATIABLE.

My question is how can i make my dvds playable on ANY dvd player? I like more user friendly software like WinAVI and IMGBurn and im tryna to make my process simple as can be.. I am currently burning my Avi Divx movies to DVD.

    Any suggestions?
    -Thank You

    Hi ,

after conversion to dvd format use dvd free (free from http://www.dvdfab.com) to remove uops (as region coding) from the dvd information. BTW your initial avi is not pal is it as we are ntsc in the US.

I am sorry, but you are not making much sense as you have posted this answer 3 times, and even after I answered your question.

This one, like the others, is now stapled to my forehead. Figured the staples would be less painful than these threads.

Hey bookerT. Have you tried closing a DVD+R as a DVD-ROM E.G. bitsetting? Thats supposedly the best way to ensure playback compatibility.

    One of atleast 3 possibilites.

He had to leave in a hurry.

Hes confused about the rahstyles accusation

or he truly is rahstyles, and may be off to create yet another screen name

Please BOOKERT, disregard this following post if you are not rahstyles!!!

LOL, Rahstyles is literally whatever you make of him if you ask me. Could be an elaborate deception, or he's simply mentally handicapped.
Hes the best example of a person who simply CANNOT be helped.
