    Hi again -
    I currently have ALOT of pics from vacations, hockey games, etc saved on my PC from digital camera.

    I was wondering what is the best way to back these up so that they are not just on my PC but also on a DVD and/or CD. What is the best source to burn these onto? How do I go about burning them? What software is best to use? Imgburn?

    ..and finally - what is the max amt of photos that can be saved per disc?

    Thanks for all your help.

    Drop them all in a folder and open Imgburn in build mode and burn away.

    I pick eh?
    If I could pick then I wouldn't be asking what holds more???

    Why is it so hard for ppl to understand that there are some, like myself, who have genuine ques and need genuine answers! Not everyone comes out of the womb understanding computers and technology!

    CD = 700MB

    DVD=4.7GB/9.4GB

    4.7GB > 700MB

    "what is the max amt of photos that can be saved per disc? "

    No clear answer unless each of your photos is exactly the same size, then it becomes (somewhat) simple math.

    There is a limit to the number of files that can be kept in the root directory, but if you are burning to DVD you should organize into folders anyway.

    Additional commentary withheld.

    Once you get your folder full of pics in the build window click the calculator and it will tell you what type of media you need for the project.
