    HI
I recently did a format and reinstalled xp on a friends computer due to virus. Now we cannot connect to internet and we have no sound, the problem is that she doesn't have any discs for any drivers. I have no clue as to what her sound card was or what her motherboard is. She has an AMD athlon 64. Any ideas would be greatly received I am very frustrated. When I looked at the motherboard in the middle it said nvidia but that was all the info I could find.

Without the Motherboard model number there's nothing to go on.

Common places for the mnotherboard model number:

1)On a LABEL neat the Ehternet connector

2)Silkscreened on the motherboard between the PCI slots

3)On the BIOS screen at bootup
