Has anyone successfully connected a Blu-ray player to the Dell 3007wfp-hc monitor.
    I connected the Samsung BD-P2500 to the Dell 3007WFP-HC monitor using a HDMI cable connected to a HDMI-DVI-D (http://www.xpcgear.com/hdmi2dvi.html)adapter to a DVI-D (dual link)cable.
    The monitor remained dark.
When I turn on the player the monitor turns on but remain dark.\
Thank you in anticipation for your help.
    Calm.

After countless hours of search this is not easly done.
    It seems:
Single Link HDMI (19 pins) is limited to display 1920x1080.
Dual Link DVI-D (24 pins) can display above 1920x1080

In concerting SL HDMI to DVI-D DL at best 1920x1080 is obtainable.

This monitor's max resolution is 2560x1600 (This is desirable)

    In view of this statement:
HDMI 1.3 has defined two categories of cables: Category 1 certified cables which have been tested at 74.5 MHz (1080i/720p) and Category 2 certified cables which have been tested at 340 MHz (1600p)

I think what is required is a converter
SL HDMI to DVI-D DL converter / scaler
with at least a 2560x1600 output.
    Calm.
