Homebrew and Wasbi Zero installed, can I update system?

I have the homebrew channel installed and was using it to play backups along with a couple of the other homebrew things. I installed a Wasabi Zero and I was wondering if it's okay to upgrade my Wii with the official Nintendo update?

What would happen if I do? Would it disable the Homebrew channel? Would backups stop working with the Wasabi chip?

Also if anyone knows about this Wasabi chip, I see that there's a 1.4 update disk for it, is this needed or is it just for extra features? Thanks

You're fine to update. A few homebrew programs may stop working after the update but they can all be restored if you install IOS16.
