I've been having some problems with my HP laptop the last week or so. It turns on for about 5 minutes, then locks up for a minute before the screen shuts off. All the lights stay on, but just the screen shuts off. Then it sounds like it's trying to reboot but it makes a loud beeping sound for a second and stays idle. The beeping sounds like it's coming internally, like from the hardware. It's not a heat problem because it does this when it is completely cold, and I have a laptop cooler. I'm thinking it may be a problem with my motherboard. Any suggestions to fix this will help. Thank you!
Look up the beep code when they beep 2 short 1 long or what ever that's the trouble code it will help you find your problem
