I put the Wasabi Zero in my wii and originally it was working fine. About 2 hours later when I went to turn the system on the drive wasn't spinning up. After taking apart the Wii again I saw that the chip had come loose. I clipped it on again and it worked fine....unitl anoter hour later went by and the chip had come loose AGAIN. This time I clipped it back on and now the light wont go green AT ALL. The Wii spins up fine without the chip clipped on but as many times as I've tried, no matter what, the chip while clipped on will only show a red/orange light and will not spin the drive up.

I don't think it's a bent pin issue on the Wii because from what I understand that would brick the Wii.

I'm wondering if this means the actual clip is bad (which I wouldn't be too pissed about) or if the actual CHIP is bad (which would suck) Should I try to solder this chip now or what?

Make sure the pins are not bent. If just 1 pin is bent and doesn't make contact with the Wii-Clip then you can have issues.

If you get it working again try putting some tape over the clip to help it stay on.
