Hey I am wanting to run mythtv - xbox, so I am looking at buying a video card. Features I would like include watching tv while recording another station, analogue inputs so I can take my old home videos and digitize them, low on cpu time - cause i never have enough cpu time :) and most of all cheap "lol like that will happen"

On my media pc, windows xp with "sagetv" software. I use the hauppagauge pvr150. I have 3 of these tuner cards installed, I can watch tv and record 2 programs in the background. I have cable so That the cards are analog tuners instead of the newer digital tuners doesn't affect me.

The card has hardware mpeg encoders which is the reason you can install multiple of these card on your pc and it won't affect the performance of your cpu, I can be recording 3 programs in the background and be playing need for speed at the same time with no cpu slowdown. You can find these cards on the internet for under 50.00, the newer digital tv ready tuner cards are about 90.00.

Whatever card you get make sure it has a built-in hardware mpeg encoders, the tuner cards without the hardware mpeg encoders are worthless for media computer use.
