new to this.....trying to do the perry mason series disc with (dvd shrink 3.2) and it freezes at 64 % analyzing. i also get the following message...dvd shrink encountered an error and cannot continue. failed to read file E/. data error (cyclic redundancy check. OK also using dvd 43. have used dvdfab 5.2.2.2 (free)and dvdnextcopy2 (paid) and get same problems. have checked disc and no scratches and also cleaned disc. is there something else i can try? thanks
I have Season 1 and ripped and transcoded disk 1 using DVD shrink alone without problems. Which disk is causing the problem?
DVD Shrink alone, ripped it ok. The disk may be dirty and need washed. Wash the disk with mild soap or even toothpaste and a finger under running water. Stroke from centre to outer edge. Dry with soft towel The old 'DVD Decrypter' has settings to overcome a scratched disk. 'Tools' > 'Settings' > 'I/O' or 'Device' check the settings. You can turn on 'Hardware Read' retries.
