I would like to do some re-mixing of DVD Audio for my own personal tastes. I have Pink Floyd's DSOTM and WYWH (Dark Side of the Moon and Wish You were Here) for example and would like to know if there is a way or any software that can be used to decode and separate the music into wav files. Like having the Left Front speaker be one file and the Left Rear speaker another, ect...ect...
Beware of Watermarked discs. The AOB will demux to MLP or WAV right enough, but the watermark will remain. Playback will stop as soon as the player hits the first watermark in the recompiled disc.
Thanks for the info from both of you. I was actually considering doing a physical output and separating the single speaker and recording them individually. With as much technology as there is it seems futile to have to resort to that but it is possible. What a mess that would be... I can hear my wife now... "What the f#@k are you doing now???" I think I'll give the software a go.
