i heard on techspot.com that windows 2000 can be ported on the xbox. im guessing that i would have to take out the hard drive and add a new partition and hook it backup to the xbox. what tool is best to create the partition? and once the partition is made and the hard drive is reconnected to the xbox how do i axcess windows 2000? and what is a good tutorial about hooking my xbox hard drive to my pc? thanks all yes my original xbox is soft modded
What you probably heard was that the xbox kernel is based off of windows 2000's kernel. Windows 2000 itself does not run on xbox itself, however you can run it under a virtual machine if you install linux to your xbox.
THIS is the website for the project. I haven't done it myself because I dont really need too but you could give it a try. I think that linux alone should be enough for you since windows 2000 might run very slowly in a virtual machine.
