HI I HAVE AN ACER ASPIRE 7520 LAPTOP AND I HAVE A PROBLAM WITH IT I TURN IT ON AND IT DOSENT EVEN GET TO THE BIOS LOGO AND I RESETS I HAVE HAD A FEW SUGESTIONS FROM MY MATES TELLING ME ABOUT THE BOOT BLOCK AND THE PHINUX BIOS RECOVERY DISK I HAVE NOT TRIE THEASE DUE TO NOT KNOWING HOW TO MAKE THEM OR HOW TO USE THEM. I CAN HERE THE CD DRIVE AND HDD,S POWERING UP BUT I DONT GET THE BIOS LOGO. IF SOMEONE CAN HELP I WOULD MUCH APRICHIATE IT THE LAPTOP HAS 1.9G AMD DUAL CORE ATHLON 2GB OF RAM GEFORCE 7000M GRAPHICS 1X80GB HDD AND 1X320GB HDD HELP WANTED PLEASE TY
If you can't get to the BIOS screen before it resets then all of the bootdisk in the world won't help you. I would start my looking at the RAM. If you have 2 modules then start selectively removing the modules to see if you can get it to boot. If you still can't get it to boot there is a possibility that all of your RAM is bad or it's a mobo problem in which case it's a service call.
ok soz i dident know about the caps it wont hapern again thanks for the reply i know its not a ram or a bios problam the laptop will start after about half an hour of restarting on it own even then is is not right just (wondering if some one could help me with the crisis disk ant got a bloody clue on how to use) just incase its the bios
