Hi, I'm new to all this but relatively competant with computers. Have just purchased The Box pvr was told had been flashed and had latest firmware. Recorded once then could not recognise the hdd. Have tried to update the firmware again but am now in vicious circle computer won't copy file to hdd unless I format it then pvr doesn't recognise hdd and requests format ergo I erase update file just put on it. Have tried connecting using rs cable but to no avail, am using usb connection. Any ideas pleeeeeeeeeeeeese
Have you tried another hard drive? I had this with mine using a HD which I had bought new. Turned out to be a faulty drive But obviously try ribbon cable first, -and does HD run up when machine is switched on? Steve
