Hi I need some help here and hopefully someone has the time to assist me dummy style. I came on this site about 4I downloaded the years ago and learned how to burn dvd's using dvd shrink. I really am not good on computers and was suprised I was able to tackle it but basically I remember trying slysoft anydvd and did the trial and then I downloaded the dvd 43 and then dvd decrypter and then dvd shrink version 3.2 I never knew what was working and what wasn't. I never downloaded nero I think it came free on my computer. I dont know if any of the programs worked and what didn't I only used the dvdshrink after that. I would open shrink and hit either backup if I wanted it all or reauthor to get rid of captions and some audio files and then backup and that was it. I never touched another program and it did it all for me. Over the lst 4 years there has been a good bit of movies that I could not burn and I guessed that I would need to upgrade to get new codec but I did not want to risk what was working 75-80% of the time. So I let it go. My buddy came over and I had him delete a bunch of stuff from my computer and he went into program files to do so. Today I went to go burn a movie and when it finished encoding and it said now add files to burning software and it has never done that. I then came to the site to try and figure it out an dI could not find nero but I had assumed that was the problem. I then tried to download from here different versions and none of the trials codes worked. As I tried dvdshrink again I saw at the top it said activate nero to burn I think and then when I went into the burn section everything was greyed out and could not change anything. I then downloaded the nero mini and it downloades but dvdshrink still says that nero is not connected. I dont know what to do please help and remember unfortunately I need you to break it down barney style for you cause I can follow detailed directions and then remember a process to burn but dont understand any of it. I would really appreciate the help thanks so much. In file IO nero is enabled and shrink says to enable burning please install nero. Also I brough up the program files section cause as I was deleting the versions of nero that weren't working I realized that one was put in a file called ahead instead of nero so I am guessing he did not know what it was. thanks again.

so is that a burning software also. I guess since I have to go thru all of this anyway are there programs with more updated codecs so I can get more of the movies I havent been able to get and also would they be easy to use or are there guides on them here on the site I now have a 1080p tv and a blueray play that upconverts great but would like to get the best quality now 4 years ago that was not a big deal but would like now and is that possible with the fact that they loose quality in dvd shrink or would i not be using shrink with hd decrypter. and hey by the way thank you so much for helping me and replying. I work 80 hrs a week and just dont really have the time to work on this with work and my kids so I really appreciate all of the help. I guess at this tme it is pointless to burn bluray with the blanks being so expensive besides having to get a new burner but what is the best quality, user friendly and free software to do what i had doing before. Last thing would it be better to just do a system restore to 3 weeks ago when he deleted program files. My buddy suggested this but he is the one who deleted my nero so I dont understand what is involved and what I could loose by doing this. thansk again.

just to check on something with you I finaly got the new trial nero 9 to load and my dvdshrink now does not say install nero to load so i am guessing it recognizes it but in the burn section it is still greyed out. what is a proggies so I would now use dvdfabhd decrypter to take out codecs and either the gold or the platinum to burn like nero did. Are these good or new with less issue and more gets burned this way. By the way please send me your paypal id so i can send you a couple bucks for helping, if this is not allowed then ignore that.

system restore may or maay not bring your old nero back (depending the memory size of your system restore you previously set) You may need to buy an older version of nero
