starview 4 problem

    i have just got a starview 4 usb. i thought that when it came i would have to update it. the system info says s/w ver 1.03 so i take it that this box does not need updated? dont want 2 if i dont need 2. the problem is though that when i press 1570 nothing happens, any 1 no what i should do?? thanks

    that is the freeview sw you need to update to version 1.07 or (1.09 if you are in ireland)

    You need the v1.07 for the uk & the v.109 for Ireland.
    You`ll also need a usb stick to flash the b0x.
    Download the firmware onto your desktop & drag it onto your usb stick.
    Insert the usb into the slot at the back of the b0x.
    Press menu > select usb at the bottom of the screen & press ok.
    Highlight the firmware on the stick press ok & the b0x will now load the firmware.
    Menu > 1570
    Turn keycode on & exit out to channels.

    EDIT - You`ll find the firmware in "The B0x Super USB" folder in eamos library under my sig.

    is it just a case of dragging them 2 the stick coz when i do that it does not show up when i plug it into the box. do i need winrar or something? cheers

    No need for winrar, right click on the firmware folder & select Send To. Choose the usb option & it will now be on the usb stick.

    ive done that but when i plug it in it says invalid drive.. do u want 2 format your drive. if u want 2 do it, all data will b deleted. i psee yes and it says format failed. then when i go into the usb on the menu screen its not there.cgeers 4 reply btw

    lol. never new i had 2. theres nothing on the forum that mentions it. never used a usb stick b4 so i will no next time lol. cheers 4 help anyway.
