Just got an R4DS Ultra from www.r4dsusa.com. This product seemed to be the flagship product ("NEWEST AND BEST"...) on their website. I heard this site was ok to buy from, and it was shipped pretty quickly. The box has a "NEW" callout in yellow on the upper right, and http://www.r4ultra.com on the box. It was missing the CD, but that's no big deal. The box has a big list of functionality bullets on the back, including MicroSD 4, 8, 32 G capacity. Now I've been reading all kinds of warnings about these clones, etc, and I can't get a fix if this card is decent or not. Does anyone have any experiences with this card? Thanks
Well, I can guarantee that it is an R4 clone. The official R4 never supported microSD's larger than 2 gigs, plus the R4 isnt even being produced anymore so ALL new R4's are clones. That said, in all likelihood it will work just fine. I wouldnt buy an R4 today because it lacks features and will not receive any future updates so if a game comes out that wont play you're stuck. But since you have one anyway you might as well use it.
