I just bought a new HDTV and it has a PC slot in the back, so i plugged my computer into it to use it as my monitor =D

but i was wondering if there was a driver somewhere that would allow me to use the speakers that are built-in the HDTV?

    RCA 32in. HDTV
    Model/ L32HD31YX12
    Rating: 120V~ 60 HZ 115W
    Serail No/ I306C50DE

also the HDTV is widescreen and when i use it as my monitor, it centers it. is there a way to make it widescreen?
ive gone into settings and i cannot change it, i was wondering if anybody knew if i had to download something or if it is stuck this way?

    Thanks Guys =D

Unless you are using HDMI, a PC monitor cable doesn't carry audio.

You could connect the audio output of the PC to an external input jack (if your TV has one).

You will need to adjust the output of your PC video card to match the dimensions of your screen, but not all Video cards can support widescreen format.

So if i get a video card that has HDMI itll carry the sound?

if so, that means i just have to get a new video card that supports HDMI and Widescreen, right?

Not just ANY HDMI capable card.

Examples of ones that pass audio are ATI Radeon 4850 and 4870.

and in fact, any ATI HDMI graphics card, there's no need to spend all that just to get an HDMI card. The HD4550 will certainly do it, and for a fraction of the cost.
